This monsoon

This monsoon has washed away the sorrow
There is a new hope for tomorrow
Till yesterday everything was sad and gloomy
Rain drop of this shower has turned it sunny
The dust has settled down enhancing visibility
Clarity of surrounding has aroused the sensitivity
Migrating birds have returned back home
Watching them nestle is awesome
The season has turned everything colorful
Look at sky its so wonderful
The heart is thumping with happiness
Everything has a sense of merriness
There are so many dreams in blossom
Truly there is some magic in this monsoon

Today

Changing dates of calendar brings another day
While living that day we call it today
With change of day it becomes yesterday
What is so mysterious about this day?
It is just another day like everyday
Well it might open up a new way
It might bring laughter and joy
It might even take away something today
Yet It is just another day as mysterious as yesterday
there is something great about today
For all you have is this day called today
Because tomorrow never comes
And yesterday flew away in past
Life is in these beautiful moments of today
Tomorrow you can think about it only as yesterday
Live this day and cherish today
Let every moment make it a day

For a dream

If you have a dream
To reach the moon
Give wings to your desire
Use fuel of your inner fire
Actuate strength to compel
The life force to propel
The moon is not so far
Just keep inner force's door ajar
In dreams you have been there
Seen the place felt the atmosphere
Now is the time to make it reality
And reach there for certainty
If this dream brings the excitement
Arouses the passion of accomplishment
It is worth using all the power
So neither hold back nor cower
For a dream you can become that propeller
Take charge and control the controller

Wait

I have to endure this long wait
Before I bring out the best
Only dreams and desires can do nothing
I have to persist to achieve something
I know the wait has got prolonged
But I must hold on and be strong
Sometimes I can't understand it all
What is the reason behind this fall
I ask myself while I wonder
I guess some reasons are not to ponder
This endurance has its own cause
I must wait is all I can propose
You can't always get what you want
Says some wise saint
So let me flow with life while I wait
Someday heavens will open the gate

Reach the sky

when you want to touch the sky
fly high and make it thy
stop listening to the naysayers
only you can answer your prayers
keep flying till it click
that the flight is worth the risk
sooner or later time will teach
that sky is within your reach
start your flight with first ray of light
fly till it is taken over by night
someday during one such drill
you will touch the sky and feel the thrill
do not stop when you reach the pinnacle
else it would lead to debacle
you have just gotten into the orbit
fly once more to feel more of it
reach the sky to see the sunrise
and keep flying till you feel the sunshine

Lighthouse

In the middle of the ocean
Stands the lighthouse alone
Be it calm weather or storm
Lighthouse has a duty to perform
In the morning light
It guides the ships that are lost
In the darkness of night
It spreads the light
Day in and day out
It does its job without respite
I wonder what makes it so stout
For it never succumbs to any doubt
And always keeps its guiding post

I have been in the nest for long
you cared for me and made me strong
you taught me basics of life
you showed me how the world is like
you always knew someday we will part
the day has come for me to depart
I wish I could stay for sometime more
Nestle in your lap like before
but I have to leave it all behind
I can keep only memories to remind
Don't weep behind my back
you know I want to come back
but If ever I don't come back
don't wait for me on the track
just remember the days we spent together
smile, for I am yours forever
